Tattoo and Piercing

Our goal is to bring some of the most talented tattoo artists from all over, to Jackson. For years we have either been without a tattoo shop or have had a very limited number of artists to choose from. For the past four years we have brought talent from as far as New York and as close as Idaho, to Sub-Urban Body Arts.

Neither Wyoming nor Idaho have State Body Art Regulations. Three years ago we began working with Teton County Wyoming Public Health to create local legislation and licensing for our Industry. Your health and safety, as well as our own, is our main concern. Currently we are are the only shop in a 200 mile radius that is regularly inspected and regulated by the Health Dept. All of our artists hold Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR and First Aid certifications as well as Body Art Practitioner Licenses from Teton County Public Health Dept. Our is the only shop in the area that holds a Body Art Establishment Permit issued by the Health Dept. We have a sterilization room with state of the art equipment, autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, etc..

Crissy Waters has joined the team and brings with her, extraordinary talent, a lifetime of striking artwork, inspired imagination, skilled artistry, and an ever expanding portfolio of ink work. In the summer of 2008 she joined us full time. Thanks to Crissy and our guest artists, you can be assured the work coming out of Sub-Urban will be first rate and the best Jackson has seen.

After three years of pestering our much loved guest artist, Mike Zimmer, to come on full time...... HE HAS! We are so excited Mike has decided to make the move, pack up everything, and join us here in Jackson. He brings to the table an incredible, and jaw dropping portfolio of his past seven years of highly stylized and completely original tattooing.

Our shop concentrates on custom work. Ours is not the type you walk into and see, the walls or poster racks, loaded with flash designs. We have reference books for you to peruse as well as artists that have the talent to work with you to create that one of a kind tattoo that you have always wanted.

We have portfolios for each of our artists. We encourage you to come in and check out their work. We can chat about what you're interested in doing and get an idea of how much time you'll need to schedule and who suits your project the best. If it's one of our guests you're interested in, we'll start a client sheet for you and call you as soon as we have dates for that particular artist. Christian of Synergy Body Arts in Idaho is a regular guest at the shop. We are proud to have him with us every few months.
You must be 18 with a valid I.D. to have any tattoo work done at Sub-Urban Body Arts. Some piercings can be done with parental consent for those 15 and up. Legal ID's are required for both minor and parent, who must be present. If last names and addresses are different a birth certificate will be required.

If you have any questions please feel free to shoot us an e-mail ,drop by (we're usually in after 12 noon during the week), or give us a buzz on the shop phone 307-733-3736. Thank you all, for your interest and support, and we hope to see you sportin' some new Body Art from Sub-Urban very soon!
